Butler’s Towing has been family owned and operated since 1996.

When Chase Boykin’s grandfather Fred Butler retired from Spurlock Adhesives in 1996, he didn’t let grass grow under his feet. Within 30 days of retirement Fred purchased a tow truck from his son-in-law Charles Boykins. Chase’s father Charles sold tow trucks for Miller Industries. With his first tow truck ready to roll, Fred named his new business Butler’s Towing.

Fred was a one-man show towing for the local police department, Waverly Motors, and AAA. In 1999, “Butch” Winfrey Bonner joined Butler’s Towing. And while Chase was in high school, he worked with his grandfather at nights and on weekends.

After he graduated high school, Chase began selling tow trucks with his father. When his grandfather Fred fell ill, Chase began working at Butler’s Towing full time and running the business. Since 2007, Chase has grown Butler’s Towing from 1 tow truck to 2 tow trucks to 7 tow trucks and 7 employees in 2021.

Today, Butler’s Towing is still a family run business owned by Chase and his wife. Their 11 year old son wants to join the business when he is older, and their 2 year old daughter tells her parents she wants to run the office!
